Over the past few months you have tried many different things with your swing, legs kicks, dropping hands, starting wide, starting narrow, all of which are fine, you need to do what it is that YOU like the best, not anyone else.  The problem is, with all these different styles, the same problem remains in your swing.  We have talked about this many times, as your perform your forward move you need to take your body with you.  As you stride, go forward, you keep your weight to far on your backside resulting in a steep swing plane, hence the high flyballs and top spin line drives.  Here is a look at some of your swings we have filmed to see some of the different styles your have tried.

In all of these swings, regardless of style, we need to work on your forward movement.  A cue I use is keeping your nose over your belt buckle as you fall forward, while yours stays more over your back leg.  Most recently in a live game I took footage of your swing from a behind view.  Just before this at bat we talked about really going forward, I told you to lunge if you have to, just dont stay back! And this was the result. (GB Single thru 5-6 hole, on 2 strike Curveball)

If you put your mouse on your front hip you can see that you're for sure moving forward, but if you put your it on your head, you can see it moves very little, which to me shows that yes your foot is going forward but you are still leaving your body behind.  The good news is we are very aware of the problem, and thats half the battle!

Swings to Study

Your swing  reminds me very much of Prince Fielder, watch how it completly covers the Geico sign behind him, while his head is staying in the center of his body.  This is a very good look of what we should be trying to get to.
